Alright, I am back home and feeling good. Yesterday I felt like crap because I had a bit of food poisoning going. Other than that - no issues.

Hi Ivan,
Good to know that you are doing so well after the cyro ablation, its always so nice to hear when someone is doing so well after going thru' so much. Take care and we wish you great health in the years to come.

Oh, the cryo didn't really require enduring anything, to be honest. Start to finish was straightforward, very low-pain and discomfort, and quick. 10 more days in the relaxation phase and, I should be jogging again.

Actually we got to talk with Dr Littrup and got a bunch of useful information out of him regarding advantages of cryo vs other ablation techniques. I have the notes on my laptop and will summarize and post them in the cryo section.

Some add info re. our stay:

The accommodation was arranged by the guest services at the guest housing building on the hospital territory, they also provide a pick up at the airport. The ablation was done on May 26, 2010. We stayed at the guest housing building of the hospital, all the hotels in the area are very far away from the hospital and I would recommend staying at the guest housing to anyone who is planning the cryo at the DMC (Detroit Medical Center - Karmanos is the part of it). The territory of the hospital is safe to walk, clean, green garden inside of the complex provides good place for a small safe walk on a day of the ablation and the next day. There is no danger that someone can run into the patient just occasionally how it can happen when staying at the regular hotel where people are often drunk or noisy coming after the sport event or the concert or the casino - they are there for fun and vacation and we are for a treatment. The rooms are very basic but of a good size (we had a family suite that is two rooms with two twin beds in the bedroom and a non-reclining sofa in the small living room, there are 2 TV in each room, small kitchen with the dishes and a fridge and all you might need if not feeling well - stack of the clean towels, buckets etc., there is ice in the dispenser in a common room downstairs). There is a minimal free breakfast on the working days in a common room - coffee, tea and some pastries. There is a free internet in that common room too.
