I have received today an answer from Dr.Rolle secretary:
"Prof. Rolle is not yet retired. He only had a week's holiday in January. Currently, he has a lot to do and every day surgery."
As I understand, he still has plans to retire soon and people knowing that are trying to get in to still have a surgery performed by him, and he is really busy after surgeries as he reviews the scans of the perspective patients wishing to get operated, to let them know if they are the suitable candidates for this type of surgery.
How to get pre-evaluated:
1. Send an e-mail to Dr.Rolle at prof.rolle@fachkrankenhaus-coswig.de stating the following (you can copy paste the Q below and give the answers):
your name
age
general health (if you have any other health conditions)
disease name and when was first Dx
primary surgery was done on....resection was complete/incomplete...radiation
systemic treatments up to date
surgeries up to date
distant metastases up to date
when were lung metastases found, their number and sizes
recent chest CT scan, previous chest CT scan, rate of growth
...and you are asking his permission to send your recent CT scans for a pre-evaluation for possible resection.
if he says yes:
2. Obtain a copy of the few consecutive CT scans on CD from your hospital. Try to get 1 older scan like a year or two interval, and two last consecutive scans so he can see the history of growth and the rate of growth. Send it with the print out of the above e-mail via fedex etc.
copy/paste the address to print the label:
To:
Prof. Dr. Axel Rolle
Fachkrankenhaus Coswig
Neucoswiger Str. 21
D-01640 Coswig
Germany
3. Wait for an answer. It is usually an e-mail from Dr.Rolle in 1-2 weeks.
Good luck to all.
Dr.Rolle is not retired yet (as of Feb.24, 2014)

Thank you for sharing this very important and welcome information Olga. Hopefully those patients who are considering laser resection will be able to now move forward with coordinating having the procedure with Dr. Rolle before he does retire.
With deepest gratitude for your dedicated thoughtful sharing, and with special caring thoughts and continued Hope,
Bonni
