hello Everyone in my asps family
Pain is under control an will be starting PT on right arm in about a week. Then in I thing four weeks when the second cast is removed PT for left ran will begin

Yes, he coasted the left arm a second time
I had though the two or three weeks with the other cast was eet going to be it but nope lol
So now three more weeks I think December 16th it comes off

Spirits have been very up an down
An mostly down
It's very frustrating to not be able to use your arms
I'm not a lay around in bed person an I am at my wits end with television an can't watch re runs over an over of PBS lol

So I decided in bed I can work on penmanship yes script hand righting
Has anyone tried to wright a letter lastly ?
Try it lol I did an it looked like a seven year olds work
I guess I will start that but what I would really like is to be outside

This comply is the hardest thing I have ever went thru an I will land on my feet but I want to be better now

I know I am blessed an will try an be thankful for that an push forward

I live in an apartment so going outside is a long undertaking

Problem is not much fits over cast and Thursday it's a very nice restraint
So today the search for fat sleeves shall begin lol

I'm resting a lot but it is getting hard I am dancing in bed when hubby isn't looking lol I do it to play around. It makes Maria my helper an Aidan who has been home with bad tummy laugh
I'm eating an shocked at what I am stuffing my face with. Cheese burgers! With extra tomatoes
All we know is in eating an that's good lol Maria is starting to get me into blending fruits an things like that so in comes healthy foods
Most food grosses me out an to much weight I think was lost. As a rule I like to be a lil over weight because of surgeries an this three surgeries was very tough
I an at 140 now an 5'7
I would like to be 160 or 170


Deb Scooter is a medium hair an orange spots on white
I have 5 cats lolol most are orange or orange an white the fifth kitty is my calico Mini she is a small kitty =^..^=

My scans will all be starting soon first bone scan on 1/5/15 or is it the 6 th
Should I get blood work or a test done for the bone scan?

I am sure in January I will have a brain MRI an also see my brain surgeon He is a gentile an loving soul an saved my life

Other great news is I am healing so fast that we had to lower my pain patch. Everyone is happy an impressed I am healing so much

Ok going to eat some dark greens an sleep

About the blood test. Why were you thinking blood test?
Pertaining to a bone scan

•

A bone scan does not distinguish between normal and abnormal bone growth by itself. So bone scan results must be interpreted along with your symptoms and the results of X-ray tests. In addition, other tests such as a CT scan, an MRI, blood tests, or a biopsy may also be needed to further evaluate abnormal bone scan results.
•Some types of cancer or diseases cannot be identified on a bone scan.

How's the PT going for you?
I hope today finds you feeling better.

Were you getting the bone scan performed as a proactive measure?

What I iunderstand about the scan if you have a bone scan as a course of scanning if anything is found to be suspicious then you will need to make a decision to what to do to investigate further. Depending on where the suspicious growth is.. A CT or MRI or blood test.

Give those kitties some scratches and yourself of hug!

My surgen found both of the last two surgeries they X-ray an talking to me

So maybe we will stay with the X-rays an not bone scan ? I thought everyone did them so I was going to also /:

My kitties are very special Dragon who at the moment is rolling on iPad as I type he is 16 pounds lol

When I couldn't pull them an hug then my heart was breaking

Dragon scooted on his side to me an at 16 pounds not easy to do an pur his head in my hands I felt so happy

Scooter is mentally retarded an since I have been home he sleeps bu my head an attac the other cats that corm near my body an shoulders
One night one of the kitties jumped on me an my husband had fallen asleep on the sofa I was in pain from being jumped on an stuck on the bed I can't use Rama to getup so I was stuck
When my hubby finally came to me in fear
What he found was Scooter with his two paws on my eye brows removing my tears with paw an washing me
Scooter moved back got my husband but stood like a guard on my four dead protecting me

PT an OT came today *great memory* <3

They are starting super slow an want a written order after I see him Tuesday. I am injured again from some thing so ridicules
They don't want to injury me

I suspect with the supports of the rods that there are some questions of healing?
Pertaining to the contrasts? You've definently had issues with those and the kidney blood testing that would be a good look see as per your doctors ?

Hello dear Amanda, happy weekend time, and continued good healing and recovery
Just a quick note for now, but just wanted to say that I personally think that a full body bone scan would be a better option than having x-rays to only specific areas of your body so that you can have a complete diagnostic evaluation of your entire body and can be sure to find any possible new bone mets before they become symptomatic and more difficult to treat. I strongly encourage you to discuss this further with your oncologist, and Hope that Olga and others on this Board will add their insights. The bone scan is a very simple, quick, and painless procedure which Brittany has had numerous times during the past 13+ years of her courageous ASPS battle, and it has never caused her any kind of kidney or liver problems related to the contrast that is used. Continue to rest, relax, and heal, and please keep us updated as you are able.
