Apparently our MRI machines are old and crappy, so 5mm is all they can muster. I've inquired further, since it was my impression that the other hospital had a better machine. I will be pushing for a more frequent schedule.

My dream of a vacation has finally materialized. I am going to Mexico tomorrow.

I feel great, back at 165 lb body weight. 3 week cold is long gone. Stomach flu gone. Ankle is healing (hopefully). I squatted 315 lb last week. I don't feel tired or feeling other effects of elevated cortisol I believe I was experiencing.

Lung CT is generally pretty good. There are nodules which slowly grew 5->7mm, 3->6mm, and 3->5mm over a course of 4 years. Neither of them are exhibiting a spectacular rate of growth, so likely no action will be taken between now and the next scan as they are too small to be ablated.

There is nothing larger in size. There are multiple other stable nodules 5-7mm in size, although I do suspect a few of these to be dormant mets. Overall, there are 50 nodules I keep an eye on, but many of them are likely scar tissue from previous laser ablations.

Next up is a brain MRI on Jan 31.I am requesting an abdominal MRI for Feb, hopefully this wish will be granted by my oncologist.

Hi Ivan :)
I hope that you are or had a blast in Mexico :)

You bring up a subject that is starting to also concern myself in reference to a slow moving met to removal and a surgeon entering the lung in any manner an then the lung seems to have more spread an also things start to grow that were not :/

Dr Foshag my surgeon said something also to this effect an when i see him *whenever that will be at this point waiting on diagnosis pr this jaw thing* I will talk to him about this and let you know what he says...

I questioned this because my left lung though it has small growth is not chugging along as far as i know like the right one we did go into four years ago...

This really sucks our cancer is so weird an it does such odd things!

Anyhow, so glad you went on that trip and i am looking forward to a viking river cruise after the 2014 series of two or three surgeries lol

Then it is Portugal :)
