Hello :)
I had the CT brain done an no tumors! I joked an said "Oh there was no brain found" My Onc looked at me an I don't think he found it funny :? I did lol

In the middle of getting teeth cleaned and getting everything ready for surgery on the !5th of November!

Other than teeth cleaning what else would everyone suggest to make my immune stronger?

I am almost 4000iu D 3 an K an minerals an multi vit to be ready for the surgery! I was in trouble with my D and so i need to be carful! Also i was told that after any surgery it stripps minerals and D an other things out of you an you must watch this carefully an have a Dr let you know how much to take an in what form.

You had blood work to check your vitamin D?
A website says:

Try to supplement your vitamin D through food, if possible. A cup (237 ml) of fortified milk provides about 30 percent of your daily value. 3 oz. (85 g) of salmon or mackerel provides about 100 percent of the daily value. 3 oz. (85 g) of canned tuna provides about 40 percent. Eggs, liver and fortified cereals can provide about 10 percent of your daily value.
YOu probably know this but diet is the best way if possible..let your surgeon know of any vitamins you are taking or better yet call to make sure its ok to take well BEFORE surgery. Fish oil is a blood thinner and could lead to internal bleeding after surgery

Hi Debbie <3
Yes, it was low an i agree 100% food is healing and it is the best way to get what you need :) I am doing two forms of D3 and use yogurt with it so it enters better :) but even trying to heal thru food i am or was still low :( Surgeries deplete the body an getting it back is so hard to do!

Yes,i like to joke it helps and makes others laugh and thats very important! :)

Yes, we found out because i was so wiped out an thru blood work.. I also asked for Endo blood work be done an that was good I was shocked.. I am green drinking also a lot before the surgery for iron an also for cellular hydrating.

*hugs* :)

Carb-load before surgery starting 48 hours before - http://well.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/09/2 ... gery/?_r=0 - especially if you are concerned about losing weight.

Post-operatively, bring your hand behind your head or hold it there so that a normal range of motion is preserved, otherwise stretching will be difficult after.

Hi Ivan :)
Thank you, i will do these!
I need to lose a lil weight. But i think that surgery isn't the way thru stress on the body to loose the weight... How long after can i get on an exercise bike do you think?
An how are you feeling now an what's going on?

Then don't worry about carb-loading. Wouldn't be surprised if a thoracotomy would rid of 5 lb of fat by the time all is said and done.

Stationary bike, I think 1.5-2 weeks later. Just start really low wattage like barely breaking a sweat. I wouldn't go out riding on the street until 3-4 weeks. If you fall down..

I feel fine. I've been having a terrible cold lasted over 2 weeks. I think as soon as it's done (finally) I will be back to full strength.

Good morning Amanda
As a family we discovered refined sugar is best avoided as much as possible as it appears to help feed cancer and lots of cells
After surgery it will be a good food to help build up
http://search.yahoo.com/r/_ylt=A0oG7hDS ... ogurt.html
We've found Greek yogurt to be the lowest in sugar and a yogurt that still have the benefits that yogurt brings to the table
Thinking of you

Hi :)
I am a greek yogurt fiend lol I love it! It will help a lot also after surgery to help my system get back on track an it also gelps i take vitamine D with it an it goes in better :)

I only use sugar in my espresso when i can't find honey hehee I love that! Honey is also bad though to be honest

I may have an abscess under my back tooth an it maybe why my chin is STILl numb an the pain in my jaw *sigh* so surgery may be pushed a week or two we will see what my Onc says ..
I see the ENT tuesday an then will be referred to a maxi facial specialist *At my request because a nerve in involved* I am not screwing around at this point time is ticking...

Ill post back what happens at the Dr when i get home tuesday :)
