Re: ARQ
Update on ARQ 197
On this last scan, it seems all lung mets are stable. He maybe
able to extend the scans from 2mos to 3mos. We plan to stay the
course since he is stable and tolerating this medication so well.
He has been on ARQ since March 2009. Best wishes for all in 2010.

Hello fellow ASPS family members,
I just wanted to post an update on my son who has been taking the clinical drug ARQ since march 2009 with no new mets. However, one met is not being a team player and has grown slightly so we may need to treat this spot with some other treatment but we are not sure what yet. Sam feels good and has no real side effects from the med which has been such a blessing as he was able to finish high school. Best wishes to all who are on this roller coaster.
I hope the team player issue has been resolved and Sam is enjoying life
Love to you all,
Debbie and family

Re: Cindy's son on ARQ trial
Hello, just wanted to post that Sam is now off the ARQ 197 trial after being on it since 2009 due to new brain met found in his cerebellum and new lesion on the pancreas. We are saddened that this is no longer effective treatment since it had no significant side effects and was given by an oral dose. I will update the board if he tries any new systemic medication.
