Cure Alveolar Soft Part Sarcoma International (iCureASPS)

One of our members alerted us that there is a new Immune checkpoint inhibitors trial started in CA:
PD-1 inhibitor clinical trial at UCLA: Pfizer's PF-06801591: https://clinicaltrials.gov/ct2/show/NCT02573259

Her mother is our ASPS patient who is now enrolled into this trial:

There are also other locations enrolling. We have no information or suggestions re. this trial as of yet, but we are sure hoping that it helps to Jolie's mother!

I’ve been reading on the trial and it’s mechanisiums of how it’s been engineered .


“PF-3512676
A substance that is being studied in the treatment of some types of cancer. It belongs to the family of drugs called biological response modifiers. Also called CpG 7909 and ProMune.”

I’m scratching the surface .:/

Have you all had a large number of CT scans of the lung area since discontinuing the trial? I would venture to say so with 2 or 3 bronchoscope procedures ? So these CTs could be exacerbating the already necrotic tumor?

Any way the ICI you are /were on is known to make tumors more radiosensitive , is my limited interpretation .
I hope Chrisann is feeling better today and you all are able to have a plan in place .

It is just a Pfizer's version of the PD-1 inhibitor. looks like a pretty effective one for ASPS.
