Grapefruit juice + Sutent = DANGER

This may have already been posted but I didn't see it. Also, this may not be the exact right forum for this, but I think it works :) Patients taking Sutent should not drink grapefruit juice. I believed this is already listed on the drug's instructions, but this article emphasizes why you shouldn't mix the two. Some drugs are simply rendered ineffective when mixed with the juice, but other drugs can have the opposite effect and a patient can overdose on the medicine

Please be careful, and follow all instructions that the pharmacist gives you.

Dear Josh,
Thank you for posting this very significant and critically important information and report. Brittany was given a list of several prohibited foods when she began her Cediranib treatment, including grapefruit and grapefruit juice. This report demonstrates the reason that some foods are not allowed while on certain drugs, and the importance of following the instructions in abstaining from them.
With deepest gratitude for your thoughtful sharing, and with continued Hope,
Bonni
