Dr. Chawla asked to make it known and has CLEARLY
stated that he would
have an initial consultation (second opinion) with
ANYONE with sarcoma, and if they can't pay (or
their insurance doesn't cover it), he would waive
the fee. Dr. Chawla clearly stated a sarcoma
specialists 'early' consultation is what's MOST
important for a sarcoma patient's long term
survival, and Dr. Chawla could make treatment
recommendations to the sarcoma patients local
oncologist. Many times proper treatment can be
carried out locally for the patient. This is the
second time Dr. Chawla emphasized this.
