Complete remission with TKI in RCC

Apparently there are multiple known cases of the complete remission with tyrosine kinase inhibitors in renal cell carcinoma. At the moment of the publication, the authors were aware of 64 patients; 36 patients had received TKI treatment alone and 28 had also received local treatment such as surgery, radiotherapy, or ablation. It remains a matter of debate whether therapy should be continued after CR. Most of the patients that achieved the CR eventually stopped their treatment, and about half of the CR patients had a recurrence - i.e. half of them are continued to be in CR with no treatment.

Out of 11 patients (8+3) that did not stop their TKI treatment after they achieved CR, 2 relapsed while still on a treatment.
