I found this to be a really interesting read on immune checkpoint and lung cancer treatment by a doctor West.
He seems to feel that immune therapies are a good addition to the already used TKI's.

Dear Debbie, Thank you for sharing this very informative article. Unfortunately, Dr. West does not seem to address (may not yet be aware of) the just recently discovered potential very serious, acute, and dangerous side effects of treatment with immune checkpoint inhibitors which I strongly feel require further very close investigation and a substantial accumulation of data. With deepest gratitude for your thoughtful sharing and with continued Hope, Bonni

I agree whole heartedly with up to date stats with patients having life threatening issues.
A need to investigate further but good info regardless

Re: 5 Key Points on Immune Checkpoint Inhibitors for Lung Cancer: Game Changer or Just Leveling Up?
Dear Debbie, This is an excellent, albeit very lengthy and technical article, which certainly clearly addresses the very concerning possible risks and dangerous acute side effects associated with Immunotherapy treatment. It raises the question of why these risks and significant side effects have seemingly just recently been revealed, and makes me wonder if the profit driven pharmaceutical companies in their rush to market the extremely expensive drugs disregarded the already apparently suspected/known associated risks for patients. Well done in finding and sharing this very informative and valuable information!! It is certainly a buyer/user beware situation for patients no matter how desperate the need for an effective treatment when the treatment itself may put the patient's Life at greater risk than the disease itself. With deepest gratitude for your dedicated research and invaluable thoughtful sharing, and with continued Hope, Bonni
