Just want to let you know that I have successfully won the appeal against
Kaiser. This means that a 47 year old man with a liposarcoma who never got
the right care from the beginning and who was told to go home on hospice
will now be entitled to surgery. While he knows this will not be a curative
surgery, it will potentially give him a chance to prolong his life and he
wanted this chance. Either Kaiser will have to find a qualified surgical
oncologist to perform the surgery or they will pay for him to have the
surgery at Cedars-Sinai. He will see the Kaiser doctor on Jan. 2 and if he
does not agree is set up for a Cedars pre-op visit for the 6th of January!
Please know your rights and fight for them. Happy New Year-with all my
heart I hope your prayers will be answered this year!
