I think they now call it papillary RCC? We had a member of this board being misdiagnosed as having ASPS when in fact it was this one. It is a more aggressive faster growing cancer, but its pattern of metastasis resembles the one of ASPS. They both a re the members of the MiT Family Translocation cancers.

Interesting Olga
Thank you for the added info
I couldn't tell whether they were saying it was now called primary asps of the kidney ?

When Josh was in Germany in 2013 he befriended a young man who was battling this cancer. Metastic lung tumors being removed after the kidney was treated .

This article will hopefully alert a new dx'd patient to get a second option to their diagnosis so as to make the right choice for treatment
Papillary , RCC needs a more aggressive and there is more of a sense of urgency in treatment as it progresses faster than ASPS
